You will be part of the Sales department at ABB Control Technologies, Industrial Automation. The main focus of our business is to provide customers with products and solutions for instrumentation, automation and optimization of industrial processes. The industries served include oil and gas, power, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, metals and minerals, marine and turbocharging. Key customer benefits include improved asset productivity and energy savings.
Possible focus for this thesis work within the field of channels to market. The thesis can be adapted to applier's education and interests in these areas:
1. Channel strategy for comparable companies and products
Investigate the channels to market for relevant companies and similar products on a global market. Relate ABB automation product offerings to successful practices in channel management.
2. Potential in optimizing channel management
Examine the channel strategy for ABB´s automation products and identify potential improvements in strategy and processes aiming for volume growth and increased profitability. Develop improve-ments in tools to support, follow-up and interact with channels.
3. Improved tools for analyzing channels to market
Develop improvements in existing tools to efficiently analyze and compare different channels and type of channels. Suggest and develop new functions and tools to increase visibility and facilitate decision making. Tools involved can be QlikView, Power BI, Salesforce.
Having studies in economics and business or Industrial Engineering is an advantage.
