At Supply Chain Management we are now looking for a new Outbound Logistics (OBL) business IT Expert to our operational team. Are you looking for an exciting and interactive global opportunity to develop and maintain our outbound logistics systems? Then this is the role for you.
You will be part of a global supply and production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with people inside and outside the company, we drive and lead the supply chain – from the supplier to the customer – in a lean way.
What you’ll do
You’ll be the connection point between the global distribution organisations and our IT departments. As our OBL business IT Expert you will cover the planning and be operational responsibility for the transportation of finished vehicles, including transport related activities and ensures the transport of finished vehicles to their required destinations.
You will initiate, plan, prioritize and coordinate activities within the OBL. The OBL scope starts at the factory and ends at the designated distribution point according to the market set-up. You will also take part in develop OBL IT systems towards the global operational needs and maintain the systems and routings on a global level. Further you will be responsible for define processes and lead the implementation of new routes and transport methods, by providing directions and leadership to the project teams.
Your mission will be to find the best solutions from a global perspective and assure functional understanding of the applications and linked business needs.
Do you fit the profile?
You are an experienced project leader with university education within IT, you have previously worked in the field of logistics and have high understanding of the processes and the requirements. You have develop an operational and flow driven mind set, in order to constantly improve the process.
In order to success in this role you are a networker both cross-functional and global, you create a good environment for cooperation and are a clear communicator. Further you are good at prioritise in high demanding areas, without losing focus on the result.
You also need to be experience within the Volvo IT systems (ATACQ, TMS, Ihub, Vista,CIS) and fluent in English (written/spoken), Swedish is preferred.
