In the role as Sourcing Area Manager you will be responsible for electronic components in new product development projects securing critical components. You will be part of Product Area Critical Care Critical Care that includes the product groups Advanced Patient Monitoring, Ventilation and Anesthesia.
As Sourcing Area Manager you will lead electronics sourcing projects coordinating and securing critical components in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibility covers management of project sourcing and securing technology alignment between manufacturers and Getinge´s product platforms. You are also responsible for developing the supply base. The work is conducted in close cooperation with engineers, quality, planning, purchasing network as well as different stakeholders at supplier.
The position is located at Getinge’s office in Solna.
Experience and competence
- Inquiries and bid evaluations.
- Supplier negotiations.
- Engagement in supplier collaboration of various sizes.
- Be part in the Electronics category team.
- Secure time to market promises for new and changed products as well as sharp cost awareness.
- Manage the sourcing in Electronics (PCBAs and High Level Assemblies) for the BOM in each product in New Product Development projects.
- Be part of a team driving alignment in global sourcing processes and methods.
- Manage and expedite components shortages.
The position as Sourcing Area Manager requires at least 5-10 years’ experience from electronic components sourcing and a relevant university degree within supply chain, engineering or equivalent education. Further, knowledge in cost-analyses and quality value engineering are important. Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office is an advantage as well as experience from working within MedTech. The role also implies good knowledge and network in the electronic component market (Manufacturers and Distributors) and experience from working in multiple projects. In addition excellent analytical skills with and ability to analyze complex sourcing structures is required. We expect you to be fluent in English and Swedish in oral and writing.
Strong leadership capabilities and ability to inspire and enthuse other team members is a prerequisite to be successful in this position. We also value good communication skills and a service oriented approach in combination with a commercial mindset.
