Your new company
After a recent acquisition, Bertel O. Steen Power Solutions (BOSPower) is looking for a senior sales profile to take the MTU-sales in Sweden to new highs. As Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible for sales to marine customers in Sweden, focusing on new business. You will be a part of our newly acquired team and play an important role for our future expansion in the Swedish market.
As BOSPower is a new entity in Sweden, it is highly important to establish new customer contacts going into the market with high tenacity, endurance and drive. In addition, you will be responsible for developing the sales business model of new solutions for hybrid and electric propulsion systems in the Swedish market, as well as sales of low emission systems internationally. You will work closely together with the Norwegian sales organization as well as the engineering department. You will be a key partner to the clients, while understanding their needs you will ensure that the best tailored solutions will be created for boatbuilding and shipping companies.
As you will have clients across Sweden, you are expected to be mobile with around 100 days of travel per year.
Your new role
We believe you have a degree in engineering or equivalent work experience. In order to be successful in the role you also need relevant experience from B2B sales, preferably in an international manufacturing company. You need to possess a technical interest with a willingness to learn about advanced equipment and techniques used in connection to the products. Knowledge and experience from working with engines and/or propulsion is highly meritorious and of course your ability to cooperate with delivery functions within the team will be crucial. Business Swedish and English, both spoken and written is a requirement.
As a person, we believe you are a positive and driven team player that enjoys every part of the sales process. You need to be able to prospect new clients, meet and present BOSPower’s products to C-level customers and maintain the endurance during long sales cycles. As the value of each single agreement is high, the presales needs to be of very high quality as this will be a big investment for the client. Whilst you have found new clients and succeeded in the sales process, you will ensure to keep long lasting relationships and upsell on existing clients. You will be the representing Bertel O. Steen in Sweden and therefore we see that you are a great communicator and possess the ability to find your way to connect with several stakeholders within the organizations you meet.

Bertel O. Steen Power Solutions AS is a company in the privately owned Bertel O. Steen group in Norway, with headquarters located in Bergen. Since 1969 the company has been the Norwegian importer and distributor of MTU products and solutions from Rolls-Royce. Bertel O. Steen´s core business is to supply and life-cycle support of the diesel and gas power systems from Rolls-Royce’s business unit Power Systems. The products are mainly developed for commercial marine and industrial applications as well emergency power systems, as for critical infrastructure applications.
Bertel O. Steen Power Solutions is currently located in five cities across the Nordic. The new entities in Sweden and Finland comprise of local engineering, sales and marketing teams for the commercial marine, industrial and power generation segments, as well as service/support teams.
