We are now looking for a Sales & Operations Planner, with a strong interest in IT-systems, who will retrieve and present the best forecast possible to enable Operations to perform at our best.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Sales & Operations Planner you will be a part of our Demand Planning team, creating a sales forecast to our organisation. To make this possible you need to analyse historical data, interpret changes in market demand, understand product demand variability and volatility, and identify demand pattern amongst other activities. You will work closely with several functions across organizational borders, e.g. with Material Supply, Product Management, Sales and Finance. Our Demand Planning team generate Axis global forecast and you will be responsible for a specific product portfolio and sales region.

Your interest and experience of IT systems and applications such as Excel, Qlik and an ERP (preferably IFS) will be of use to generate a forecast but also to further improve our forecast processes and tools together with the team. Digitalization is our friend and we embrace development and new ideas.

Duties will include:   

  • Producing Axis corporate demand forecast on a monthly basis
  • System-aided forecasting and planning
  • Developing market knowledge and tracking trends, through communication and data analysis
  • Tracking product portfolio changes and Axis customer project pipeline
  • Contribute in the development of the forecasting process and forecasting tools
  • Follow-up forecast accuracy, and take actions to improve it
  • Align the forecast process with the sales budget process owned by Finance
  • Investigate how the forecast affect other parts of the supply chain to eliminate sub-optimization

This is a temporary position for 10 months starting in December and you will report to the Demand Planning Manager.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are a person with a strong personal drive who easily co-operates across organizational borders. We believe you are an open minded and socially skilled individual who is always open to learn and develop your skills. Furthermore, you are fluent in both English and Swedish (verbal and written). You have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks and issues, yet a flexible mindset. You enjoy a high pace and are open for change. Your analytical ability is sharp, and you think big. You are a person who can dive into the data, yet surface to be able to speak about your conclusions compellingly and effectively. A Sales & Operations Planner is as much a storyteller as a data guru. You are an advanced Excel user and have experience of working with forecasting system.

We believe that you have:

  • A Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business and Economics
  • 2 years experience from supply chain disciplines in an international environment
  • A strong interest in data analysis
  • Excellent understanding of business and market dynamics

THE TEAM
Demand Planning is a core function in the supply chain. We want to ensure product availability for our customers to maximize revenues in the marketplace, but we also need to master the tradeoff between inventory and capital tie-up in our supply chain. The Demand Planning team is operating and interpreting on a global level, located in Axis HQ, Lund.
