At Vehicle Purchasing, which is a global organization within GTP, we are now looking for our new Purchasing Manager – Cab Exterior! This team is responsible for Cab, Electrical-Electronics, Metal, Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics Areas and we represent a yearly purchased spend of 31 BSEK.

Vehicle Europe, being the strategic steering line for Vehicle Purchasing activities within GTP, organizes a strong collaboration within Vehicle teams across several sites/regions. We are also the operational line responsible for Vehicle Europe business throughout the purchasing process (sourcing, projects, operation, and revenue service parts). At GTP Vehicle Europe team, we are responsible to drive end to end purchasing activities whilst securing QDCF-TSR (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management) targets.

This is your new role
As Purchasing Manager – Cab Exterior, you drive and manage performance of your team from a QDCF-TSR stand point. You will lead and manage project & commodity buyers in your area of scope, manage supplier relationship, cross functional collaboration, contribute to supplier negotiation & global segment strategies. You also promote a strong collaboration between Buyers within Cab Purchasing globally and thereby capitalizing on regional inputs towards segment strategies, negotiation tactics and leveraging other possible opportunities. You will also:
  • Be a member of the Cab Purchasing Management team and in an active way contribute to the development of the department
  • Lead your team development (8 buyers) so that they can deliver upon expectations
  • Secure needed communication and interaction with cross functional teams to deliver the QDCF-TSR
In this role you will report to the Vice President Cab Purchasing and you will be located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

This is you
As our new Purchasing Manager – Cab Exterior you will have the great opportunity to represent your Purchasing area in cross-functional decisions bodies, validate sourcing cases to be presented to the sourcing decision body and be our Key Supplier Manager/Supplier Host. 

To succeed, we believe that your leadership kills is one of your strongest assets as you have the capability to face problems and act quickly and directly. You are also able to handle uncertainty and the unexpected, and you can provide direct and actionable feedback. Your ability to make good decisions in line with internal stakeholders with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind makes you a strong candidate. Other skills are:
  • University degree in Engineering/technology and/or Business Administration
  • Knowledge in current and future business trends, technology and markets
  • Ability to manage diversity and offer opportunities for personal/professional development
  • A drive to build an effective team with a common objective
