Product Management as a department is responsible for monitoring the market landscape and understanding customer needs, translating these into product requirements aimed to support our share and profit targets in the short and mid-term perspective.
Product Management is also responsible for developing a prioritized product plan and bringing this to the Management Team and related departments for decision and for execution. Product Management is responsible for bringing these products to the market together with other functions within the company and managing the process for an effective product introduction.
Product Management manages the activities of supporting the network to ensure we maximize the sales and share opportunities from our products, including developing effective sales support tools, recommending activities with local product managers/sales management and/or centrally to stimulate sales and share.
Reporting to the Product Group Manager, as Product Planning Manager you will be a key player within the Product Management team. You will be involved in leading and developing:
- Understanding of our customers challenges, market trends, technology solutions, in the area of WH products and translating these into ideas, plans and actions to improve our product offer.
- Develop an ongoing plan for our WH product range with our product managers, ensuring our products are developed with the right features and solutions in mind for our future customers.
- Leading the execution of new product developments with related departments and OEMs.
- Leading the product introduction process for new product introductions.
You are structured in how you organize your work and you are able to multitask in a number of projects/tasks at given moments. You are able to work with, analyze and process data to form opinion and suggest interpretation.
You are a clear communicator and you are able to work in, as well as lead, cross functional groups. Ideally you have either a commercial background with technical affinity, or technical background with commercial insight. Knowledge of internal material handling is useful. You speak and write English fluently and it is useful if you have knowledge of any additional language.
