To our Swedish office, centrally located in Stockholm city, we are now looking for a Nordic Tax Manager.
The role and key areas of responsibility
The Nordic Tax Manager has an overall responsibility to ensure compliance, monitor risks and seek opportunities with regards to Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), property tax and other direct and indirect taxes for the Nordic group.
As Nordic Tax Manager you are responsible for calculating and reporting tax for the Nordic companies to the corporate tax team in Amsterdam. You will calculate, monitor and manage income tax returns for the Nordic group, act as the VAT-specialist within the Nordic group, and uphold overall responsibility for the Swedish companies’ property declarations. As Nordic Tax Manager you will also function as an internal consultant regarding pipeline projects, VAT exempt leases, leases and/or activities outside of standard processes, investment/divestment structures and procurement of tax advisory. As Nordic Tax Manager you will contribute to the Finance Management Team.
Hierarchically, you will report to the Nordic Finance Director in Stockholm, and functionally to the Tax Director positioned in Amsterdam.
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Business Administration with focus on Accounting, or a Master’s Degree in Law with focus on Tax. A minimum of 3 years experience from preferably an auditing firm, or a company within the real estate, property or construction business is required. Experience working with both accounting and tax/VAT is essential. You are used to and prefer to work in an international business environment. Written and oral English proficiency is required. Your knowledge level of Excel is high and if you also are skilled in ERP-systems, preferably SAP, you have an advantage.
As a person you have a strong ability to work independently, yet you communicate easily with various members in the organization. You are structured, responsible, dedicated and proactive. You are business- and service minded but your success will also depend on your communicative skills.
