As a data engineer, you will be part of a team in the forefront, and through curiosity and great technical skills, drives our platform for AI and machine learning forward. By utilizing all ICAs data, we strive to tailor the customer experience at every interaction.

How you will spend your time here

You will work in a DevOps team of data engineers, data scientists, scrum master and product owner. You will work to develop our team, our applications, our way of working and our processes to deliver high value for ICA.

Through use case-driven development the team develop applications and services for personalized marketing. In our daily work we develop machine learning models, data pipelines and APIs, as well as designing data models to manage both structured and unstructured data. Apart from new development, the team also work with continuous improvements of our applications and daily maintenance of our jobs in production which enables personalization.
The team works in an agile fashion as part of the marketing development organization that works closely with other teams to achieve the best possible outcome for ICA and our customers.

We are looking for you

You are a problem solver and want to be a part of an exciting journey. You are comfortable working and taking your own initiative to help us further refine our applications. There are great chances to influence both our products and our way of working going forward. To thrive in the role, you are curious about technology and like to work exploratively. You also enjoy taking on code refactoring to optimize production pipeline performance and other maintenance activities.

You have a relevant engineering background with experience in building and optimizing data pipelines or applications in cloud environments, GCP, Azure or AWS. You have good knowledge of working with relational and non-relational databases. In terms of technology, you probably have experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, Terraform and Docker. The team also works a lot in Python and SQL. 

Experience with, and an understanding of, personalized marketing is an advantage.
 

Your team and your workplace

You will be a part of VUIT marketing (development and IT) who is responsible for the development of ICAs marketing capabilities. You will work in an ambitious team with great team spirit and culture.

In addition to your own team, you also work closely with other development teams and build a large network within ICA. These teams, to mention a few, could be working with digital services like ICA.se and the ICA app, analysis and visualization tools or our market automation system.

ICA Sweden’s modern and spacious office is in Solna near the Mall of Scandinavia. We have among other things a great restaurant and a SATS gym. We enjoy working together in the office, as well as having the opportunity to work from home some days of the week. Therefore, we have adopted a hybrid way of working.
