THE ROLE Grab the opportunity to join Oatly as Enzyme Technology Specialist, driving innovation in the field of enzyme science and technology. Being part of the Technology development team in the global Innovation department, you contribute to the global technology development roadmap. In this role, you will get to develop new enzyme technologies, exploring new enzyme applications as well as improving existing solutions. Always with focus on developing technology solutions that enables us to create great food products. You will contribute with innovation and expertise within enzymation to ensure Oatly continues to have world-class technology in this field.
WHAT YOU WILL DO This is a key role where you get to be explorative, creative and search for new ways. Your focus will be to drive Oatly´s enzyme technology development, in a mixture of operative and strategic work. This is a role where you will scan the market for the innovative enzyme solutions, keeping track on research within the field and creating collaborations. Be an expert in the area of enzymes, and plan and lead the experimental work. Contributing with your expertise in what enzymes can do, you help build new technology platforms that take our liquid oat technology to the next level. You support product development teams as well as production and supply teams with your know-how, working cross-regionally and cross-functionally to deliver on innovation goals.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a researcher and enzyme nerd at heart, passionate about enzyme technology. Always curious, innovative and looking for new ways to develop and improve your area of expertise. You have a sharp and creative mind, with an analytical and structured way of working. You like to work with others, to plan and lead the research and development work, but also to participate in the hands on work in lab and pilot scale. You naturally make use of your scientific network, to scout for new solutions. An ever-changing environment suits you and you are good at adapting and making the most of every opportunity making sure Oatly continues to be world class in our field.
We hope to see that you check the following boxes: • MSc in relevant field, e.g. chemical engineering, process technology, food process technology or biotechnology • Solid training within enzyme technology • A minimum 5 years’ experience in enzyme technology development work • Work experience in food science and/or biotechnology • Minimum 5 years’ industry experience or close collaboration with industry in academic work
We would love to see that you have a PhD within relevant field and that you have knowledge and experience in experimental design. It would come in handy if you have experience in project management and it´s also a plus if you have international experience. If you really want to wow us, you have experience in working with enzymes that deconstruct carbohydrates.
It is necessary that you are fluent in English and a plus if you have knowledge in the Swedish language.
