About the role
We're looking for a Code Herder to help, and guide, our Code Hoarders... :)
This is essentially a DevOps influenced position focused on CI/CD, even though the term DevOps in itself is rather ambiguous at best. One of your missions will be to help smooth the ride for code travelling all the way out into production and to make sure that we keep working to improve that ride over time.
What you´ll be up to
Working closely with our Cloud Operations Engineer and software development teams you'll help to improve our process, drive automation efforts while helping, hands on, to automate infrastructure in order to smooth the transition from test through to production environments. Using a range of existing tools, evaluating and implementing others, to encourage a modern approach to CI & CD you'll be an integral part of a team crucial to ongoing success. You will be working with both more traditional resources (physical/virtual machines) and modern cloud based, serverless solutions helping us scale in a rapidly growing platform.
So, who are you?
Ideal applicants will have a solid Microsoft background, most likely as sysadmin or in platform or software configuration management. You have some experience of working in a 'DevOpsy' way or a strong desire to do so. You understand the software development lifecycle and have experience of or exposure to most of the following -
- Azure (may consider equivalent cloud experience)
- The Microsoft stack - Servers, AD, SQL databases etc
- Powershell scripting
- Azure DevOps
- Octopus Deploy
- Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform or
- Experience from
containers (Kubernetes, Docker or similar)
InfoReady to join the team?
Due to vacation selection and interviews will be conducted in mid-August.
Lovely! Applying is super easy. Use your LinkedIn profile (or upload a resume) and answer a few click-in questions (no data entry, we promise). We´d love to get to know you and understand what makes you tick, so write a few lines about what you enjoy about your role and what would be an exciting challenge for you going forward. We are eager to get to know you and what you love to do, so be yourself and let that shine through in your application!
