SEB Investment Management (IM) AB is one of the largest asset managers in the Nordics, managing a broad range of funds and mandates across most asset classes, for private clients as well as institutional investors. We are now looking for a Strategic Analyst to work together with the Management Team of the SEB Investment Management

You will coordinate closely with the Management Team, to analyse and compile strategic business intelligence based on internal proprietary data, as well as a wide range of external data sources such as external proprietary data providers, external public data providers and competitors, with the goal of creating actionable intelligence to form SEB Investment Management going forward

Day-to-day work will be spent between two major work streams:

•  Coverage: Pre-agreed areas of analysis, including but not limited to: Morningstar industry fund data, competitor product and financial information etc. – within the coverage work stream the candidate is expected to build and maintain infrastructure for business

•   Ad-hoc research: Pro-active and re-active research into new fields based on an agile prioritization of topics based on their relevance to the business, when and as they materialize

The key characteristic that we look for in a candidate is intellectual curiosity. An ability to display a well developed analytical and structured thought process is also paramount. Lastly, well founded familiarity with the asset management industry, including business drivers as well as financial accounting is important.

You should have 3-10 years of professional experience from M&A advisory, management consultancy, private equity, research or business development and relevant university degree with a strong academic track-record. For this position you need to be fluent in Swedish and English.
