And what is Operations…?
Operations is the part of Axis' organization that is responsible for the supply and distribution of our products. This includes e.g., Purchasing, Order Handling, Production, Sourcing, Production Preparation, Sales & Operations Planning, Quality & Environment, and Logistics. Today we are almost 400 persons within Operations. Based in Lund, we interact with other Axis departments and a worldwide network of customers, distributors, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and our configuration and logistics centers. Apart from delivering what is needed to today's market, we are currently working hard to prepare for the significant growth projected in the coming years.
We are on a journey into an even more digitized world, and this does not only include harnessing digitalization in general, but also fine-tuning our global footprint and supplier relations as well as improving and developing our processes.
What will you do? What does our Graduate Program look like?
The Graduate Program runs for 18 months and has 3 distinct phases, app. 6 months each. Each phase will give you new challenges and new opportunities to learn and develop. Please indicate if you have any particular favorite areas in your application. The program will give you a thorough introduction to Axis, to Operations, and to our global business. You will learn about the challenges and opportunities we have to master if we want to continue our strong growth.
We are looking for persons that will deliver high quality output from day one. Apart from your functional managers that assist in your daily business, you will be assigned a mentor that will support and guide you throughout the entire program. Of course, you will also get support from your team.
You will be given a personal area of responsibility - you need to take ownership and deliver strong results.
Apart from being an important team member in your home department you will also be a member of our Trainee Group of 2022. You will meet and network with your fellow Trainees continuously during your time in the program, in seminars, events and after hour activities. You will be located at Axis headquarters in Lund and be a part of a team of great friends that enjoy going to work in the morning. Flexible working hours, morning fika every day, classic Swedish fika on Fridays, enjoy our 500 m2 gym area and social activities. What happens after Graduate Program?
In your future role, you will work closely with a number of stakeholders to fully understand their issues, create and implement strategies for change, and turn potential into performance. Your trainee period will give you a thorough training; you will be well prepared for this work.
Your willingness to work in a global and an ever-changing environment makes us a perfect match. We are under constant development and exactly what part of Axis or geographical region you end up depends on your interests, ambitions and where Axis need you the most. Together we will find your place during the program.
You get a permanent employment during the program, all functions aim to offer interesting and challenging roles to their graduates upon graduation, providing they have performed well during the Axis Graduate Program.
Are you the one that we are looking for?
We are primarily looking for a fresh or recent graduate, most likely from Industrial Engineering & Management or Mechanical Engineering. Your studies have been focused on Supply Chain Management and/or Business & Innovation, with strong academic results. But you have also done other things during your years of study. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and social: teamwork and collaboration are essential to your success at Axis. In addition, you are structured and analytical. You can work independently but at the same time you successfully collaborate across organizational and cultural borders.
To be successful in this role you need strong communication skills: full professional proficiency in both Swedish and English are requirements, additional languages a benefit. You enjoy developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, colleagues and other stakeholders. You understand the big picture and how to translate it into daily work, i.e. you thrive in an environment where you plan your own activities and takes responsibility for the result.
