Bellwether Behavioral Health has an opening for a Quality Assurance Specialist in our Bridgewater location, as well as in our West Milford location. The Quality Assurance Specialist will ensure Bellwether's compliance with accrediting bodies and funding sources (DDD and OOL) and Bellwether's policy and procedures, and ensure that the best possible services are being provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health support needs.

This position will assist in the identification and presentation of outcome measures; participate in the design, execution, and analysis of evaluation measures and training data; and participate in Pre-Service and other in-house training. The Quality Assurance Specialist serves as a member of Bellwether's Continuous Quality Improvement Committee.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring and overseeing program compliance and ensures that services are rendered in accordance with all safety regulations, federal and state regulations, agency, and corporate polices.  

Quality Assurance Specialist Responsibilities

Conducts on-site, in-home file and record reviews for compliance and identifies opportunities for improvement or corrective actions.

  • Conduct random file/record reviews on a weekly basis  
  • Submit weekly QA reports and submit in a timely manner to QI Director
  • Present consistent feedback to management regarding areas that need improvement
  • Ensure 100% of clients participate in the client satisfaction survey
  • Other duties as assigned


Specific Requirements

  • Frequent travel in state and in the region is required -- the position will be traveling between residential and vocational settings 3 - 4 days per week.
  • Flexibility in work scheduling -- may require weekend, evening and occasional overnight hours to provide support and observation in programs.
  • Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Human Services, education, psychology, sociology or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years related experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality assurance procedures and federal, state and local laws and mandates.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook and knowledge of data management processes.
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication, telephone and customer service skills.
