MSL/Medical Advisor

Field based MA/MSL to cover Sweden/Nordic. Background within Cardiology, Pulmonology or Internal Medicine.

Your new role
On behalf of Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Hays is now looking for a MSL/Medical Advisor within Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. The position is field based (Sweden/Nordic).

Some of the key role activities of the MSL/Medical Advisor will be (but not limited to):
- In collaboration with the Marketing and Sales department, actively liaise and interact with key opinion leaders and other key external stakeholders.
- Together with the Nordic Medical Director develop a long term medical strategy and implement on an account basis.
- To facilitate and co-ordinate investigator initiated studies and other external investigator driven projects.
- Liaise with clinical trial investigators within the Nordic area, in collaboration with local clinical.
- Plan, execute and follow up on insights and gathered information from Advisory Boards and Expert groups.
- Provide Medical training and educational support to all Actelion personnel.
- Communicating, and gathering, scientific and clinical information in accordance with company guidelines.
- Provide support to the local quality responsible, regulatory responsible, medical information and compliance owner on an as needed basis.
- Serve as Actelion medical contact person for local KOLs in all relevant activities
- Visit scientific centres to discuss important scientific and clinical data.
- Establish an account based KOL management plan and executed according to target

What you'll need to succeed
Experience and Skills

- Medical knowledge within a relevant therapeutic area related area related to Actelion's products (Cardiology, Pulmonology, Internal Medicine).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience of clinical duty in a hospital OR research as a PHD.
- Preferably former pharmaceutical industry experience as Medical Adviser/Medical Scientific Liasion
- Strong tutorial and presentation skills
- Good moderation and negotiation skills
- Fluent in local language (Swedish) and English


- Proactive approached and a high level of accountability
- Excellent social skills and experience in establishing key account networks
- Flexible and positive outgoing personality with high level of dive and enthusiasm
- Ability to work independently and teams, including cross-functional settings
